The restaurant & shop are now open and fully functional (Please see opening hours). In line with government guidelines we are asking that customers wear a mask when visiting the premises. Masks can be removed once you are seated, however they must be worn to move around the building. Takeaway customers also need to wear a mask for collection. We have hand sanitising point available throughout the business and social distancing measures apply. We have a QR code that you can scan for test and trace, alternatively, if you do not have the app, we will take your details manually - these will be destroyed after 3 weeks and not used for any marketing purposes.

A family business run by Toby & Tori Sumpton. We moved to Northumberland from Yorkshire in March, 2015 where Toby was the Assistant Manager of an Italian chain in York & Tori worked at Pavers Shoes head office. Tori Says “Running a busy farm shop and restaurant in Northumberland, alongside raising a young family certainly makes for a hectic lifestyle, however it is something we both find incredibly rewarding. We love meeting regulars & visitors to the area & strive to offer a fantastic service every time you visit Sunnyhills. This is something our whole team work really hard to achieve & we couldn’t do it without them. We are incredibly proud of their hard work & dedication to the business. All Sunnyhills staff live locally, therefore are more than happy to pass on any local knowledge & suggest places to visit if you are holidaying in Northumberland
Our play area is always popular with families visiting us. We have a large climbing fort and slide and nest swing. Located in the middle of our garden means parents can enjoy the sunshine whilst having a firm eye on the kids
DOGS AT SUNNYHILLS
Whilst we do everything we can to welcome dogs on the premises. Due to space restrictions we are unfortunately unable to allow them into the building (Assistance Dogs excluded). If you are visiting with dogs, our outside seating area is dog friendly and we are more than happy to provide water bowls. We also have a large field at the back of the building where well behaved dogs are welcome to excersize on or off the lead, We just ask that you clean up after them. There is a beautiful woodland walk that runs adjacent to South Meadows campsite (the campsite ask that dogs are kept on the lead here), and this leads into the village by the chicken shed path. A beautiful walk if you have the time!
We have disabled parking bays, located at the entrance to the building.
All entrance & exit doors are double doors, allowing wheelchair access and all public areas of the building are on the ground floor. We strive to offer more spacious tables in the bistro where required and disabled toilets are available on site. Assistance Dogs are permitted indoors. Access around all areas of the business is possible with a wheelchair and we are more than happy to offer a personal shopping experience to any customer who requires such.
